As an IT Architect within the Assets domain, you play a key role in enabling the energy transition by driving digital innovation and building a robust, future‑proof IT landscape. Through your expertise, you directly contribute to large‑scale infrastructure projects and the reliable operation of the Dutch high‑voltage grid—today and tomorrow.

About TenneT, unit, department and team:
TenneT is a leading European Transmission System Operator and a key player in the energy transition. With more than 23,500 kilometres of high‑voltage connections and around 5,000 employees, we ensure a secure and reliable electricity supply in the Netherlands.

You will be working within the Digital & Technology Transformation – Assets (DTT‑AT) unit. This unit is responsible for driving and enabling digital and data transformation across asset‑related business value streams, to build the grid faster, use it more efficiently, and deliver sustainable value to customers.

The position:
As Functional Workspace Specialist you design, build, and maintain business solutions within the Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring they meet both functional and compliance requirements. You collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams, support users through training and guidance, and continuously improve digital workplace tools to enhance efficiency, security, and adoption.

Your tasks include:
• Creation on running and new business solutions within the old and new Microsoft (365) environment;
• Aligns pro-actively with contractors and internal colleague's, e.g. project team members;
• Takes care of correct maintenance of the (own build) solutions within the workspace;
• Aligns pro-actively with counterparts at contractor;
• Ensure end-users have the right training materials available;
• You contribute actively to a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues and contractors.

The activities will approximately consist of:
• Interviewing stakeholders of the projects, assuring the provided solutions still fit their functional needs;
• Creating new solutions for the projects;
• Cooperating with the Information management team, to make sure the platforms are compliant with all non-functional needs and signaling potential threats to the business continuity or integrity of the data;
• Coaching and training the user community in correct use of the tools;
• Inform the organisation on new options to mitigate risks and short comings;
• Create manuals and e-learnings for easy adoption.

Profile:
• You have completed at least a relevant education on bachelor level and experience in ICT;
• You have proven knowledge and experience (3 years +) of organizing documentation and information streams in complex project organisations;
• Experience with SharePoint is an mandatory;
• Knowledge in one or more document management systems;
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams);
• You are fluent in English and preferably in Dutch as well (both verbally and in writing).

Soft skills:
• You have good communication skills and are able to organise and schedule activities well;
• You show initiative, you are analytic, sensitive, aware of different interest and capable of balanced judgement;
• You are able to present yourself towards internal and external stakeholders;
• You are dynamic, enthusiastic, intrinsically motivated, you take your responsibility and ownership (committed); no 'nine to five-mentality';

Important:
• This is a temporary assignment for 12 months, possibly to be extended for another 12 months;
• The assignment does not lend itself to hiring a self‑employed contractor (ZZP not allowed).

Practical information
• A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) must be in place before the candidate can start;
• A Pre‑Employment Screening (PES) is standard upon onboarding;
• Location: Hybrid – at least two days on location at TenneT headquarters in Arnhem;
• Availability for 40 hours per week is preferred over a 32-hour work week;
• Interviews: one round, on location in Arnhem.

Additional information:
• Suppliers must be aware of the laws and regulations regarding employment conditions and Tennet’s Collective Labour Agreement. This assignment is placed in scale 7;
• We would like to receive the personal motivation of the candidate and CV in Dutch or English.

Screening:
• Pre-employment screening: If the candidate is selected to start, a pre-employment screening will be executed. We will send you the required documents to be filled in and returned as soon as possible. Your candidate is only allowed to start after the pre-employment screening has been completed successfully. The VOG Application is part of the screening. The VOG must be received before the candidate could start;
• All submitted candidates must be in possession of a valid Passport or ID card, which must be taken along to the interview and at the start of the assignment.

• Important, the candidate has to be available throughout the entire duration of the assignment;
