For Tennet we are looking for a Lead Data & Analytics Platform.

Tasks
As Lead Data Platform you will be part of the leadership team of Digital & Data. And as part of this team, you will drive the vision (already in place), strategy and execution of the data driven journey of TenneT. The data platform plays a key role in the enablement of the data driven way of working. In your role as platform owner, you are responsible for the development and management of the products / services within the platform scope.

We are on the verge of redesigning the data platform to enable the fast-growing demand of advanced analytic products and self-service analytics & reporting capabilities. Together with your team you will be responsible to create and execute a plan to move from our current on-premise platform to a cloud-based solution, while keeping the current platform up and running. Moreover, you take a leadership role in driving and supporting the development of your team members (15 people).


Profile

Together with your team, you will develop and deliver the target data platform as foundation for efficient use case delivery and self-service analytics & reporting capabilities. The platform will be perceived by business users and developers as fast, easy and trustworthy.

Tasks
• You lead, coach and develop a team of platform engineers, fostering both individual growth and team performance.
• You enhance and expand the data platform with new features and capabilities to meet evolving business needs.
• You design, implement and manage platform governance and operational processes to ensure reliability, security and scalability.
• You build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring value delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
• You collaborate closely with peers in the Data Leadership team to define and execute the platform vision and strategy.

Profile
• Proven track record in leading and developing a (data) team of platform engineers.
• Demonstrated experience in building and scaling a data platform including IT management processes
• Strong understanding of organizational transformation towards a platform-driven model.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at both technical and business levels.
• Proven managerial experience, at least 8 years of experience
• Experience working in critical business environments is a pre
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on leadership.

On a day-to-day basis tasks will include:
• Work with (business) stakeholders to design vision and roadmap for the TenneT Data Platform;
• Empower team members and create a safe environment fostering innovation;
• Enable teams by managing team resources (e.g., strategic workforce planning and requesting additional resources if needed);
• Participate actively in the TenneT planning and portfolio management process (e.g., to provide transparency on team performance and priorities, guard team and product/platform/service interests);
• Support development of your team members (e.g., perform HR tasks like individual performance management, learning and development) and supervise team members in establishing and achieving their personal development goals focused on domain goals;
• Foster open dialogue and coaching on individual behavior in line with the cultural values of TenneT;
• Encourage an organizational culture of continuous learning;
• Dare to make timely decisions, considering all relevant business and technical factors;
• Take accountability for the product/platform/service delivered by your team(s);
• Communicate about different aspects of the product/platform/service within and outside of your team(s), including to business stakeholders;
• Encourages End-to-End thinking.

Conditions:
• At entry, TenneT performs a Pre-Employment Screening;
• An UVO screening is also needed for this role.
• Scale 18 FUCO(collective labour agreement TenneT TSO);
• Duty station is Arnhem, hybrid working is possible, Minimal of 2 days onsite;
• TenneT would like to receive the CV's in English.
• Dutch speaking is a big plus.
• Extension of the role is subject to the current restructuring.
• This role is suitable for ZZP'ers.
PLEASE NOTE: We no longer work with a ZZP Indirect construction within TenneT. This will be a fee-only construction where € 1,45 of the margin is retained from the supplier. After 1 year worked, the supplier will definitely leave out of the chain. So take this into account.

Screening:
• Pre-employment screening: If the candidate is selected to start, a pre-employment screening will be executed.
